TRUE CONTENTMENT

Having everything you want in life is a circumstance that seems to befit only a small subset of the global population, and they are probably not among the wealthiest inhabitants. The notion that one should be contented and fulfilled in every circumstance is not new, but very few people are. Perhaps that is because God's idea of contentment is very different from the world's.

The world believes that regardless of how ungodly your circumstances might be, you should praise God for being alive, and be at peace and full of joy. God, however, expects you to strive for his perfection in your health, in your living circumstances, in your finances, in your relationships, and in every other area of your life.

​True contentment is not living in ungodly circumstances, but rather, it is having a relationship with God that brings you joy, peace and happiness, despite your circumstances, and it is using that relationship to propel you toward God's perfection, in every area of your life.
