SHAKING SATAN

Today, someone assaulted me with one of those directed energy weapons embedded in Smartphones. It's a daily occurrence, but today when I asked the perpetrator why he had done it, he said to me that God is love so he will merely ask for God's forgiveness after committing his dirty deeds. He misunderstands the nature of God and what it means to say that God is love. The concept of love is one that necessarily includes an aversion to sin and depravity.

When one says that God is love the general tendency is to believe that God's love is essentially a license to violate every spiritual law, commit sin, and engage in every other atrocity, secure in the knowledge that love automatically will right the wrongs and render us innocent. But that is not how love operates. True love is fierce in its protective instincts. It knows that evil can leave its mark on you, and it desires to keep you unmarked and unstained.

Evil not only will stain you and leave its mark, it also will destroy your soul. Your soul is the part of you that enables you to see eternity. The more intact your soul remains, the more capable you will be of weathering every storm that seeks to engulf you. You will stand firm when others fall, and you eventually will see eternity. The soul also is the seat of spiritual power, and each time you sin or violate spiritual law, you compromise your capacity to exert spiritual power. You become one of the sick and infirm, instead of one of the healers of this world.
