PEACE ON EARTH

Engineers know that cause and effect is a very powerful natural phenomenon. They rely on it when they create new designs for products. Cause and effect also applies to non-mechanical creations, although we generally afford it less significance. When we claim to want peace on earth, we also have to claim the progenitors of peace. If we fail to do so, one must necessarily question whether we truly desire peace. Peace is a mandate for ultimate survival, and without it, we are doomed to self-destruct. Our efforts at environmental conservation, attempts to reverse global warming, and every other environment-related agenda will be for naught if we fail to engineer peace. Peace on earth, and goodwill to all.
