The notion of a God who is all powerful seems incredulous. One need only take a glance at the world to conclude that any God who claims to be in charge of the world would have to be derelict in his duties. The truth is that God is in control only when, and to the extent that, we give him control. We cannot blame God for the consequences of actions that we never entrusted to his care and control. If we want to see what omnipotence looks like, we must first relinquish all control to God. We must acknowledge that complete surrender and submission is a necessary condition precedent to the experience of God's omnipotence. Only then can we presume to blame God for the condition of our world.
