When a day has been set aside as a day of global celebration, one wonders what is it that can cause virtually every country to set aside that date as a day on which to celebrate. May Day, the first day of May, is one such date that has been celebrated globally for centuries. Underlying the glitz and pomp of national May Day celebrations, May Day is in fact a spiritual holiday. It is a day on which the Lord God Almighty has decreed that the heavens will celebrate the victory of the cross--the victory that was won on Calvary. It also is a day on which the people of God were to look forward to and begin to celebrate their personal resurrection from death to life, their renewal by and sealing with the Holy Spirit of God.
The Scriptures state that many are called, but few are chosen. The rapture of the chosen, those individuals who have been permanently sealed with the Holy Spirit of God and will serve in Christ's millennial kingdom, is a May Day celebration. The Lord God Almighty is a God of surprises, a God of celebrations, and a God of principles. Whether or not you have been chosen, there is reason to celebrate, because death's dark journey of destruction is about to end. Death's dark journey of destruction will end.
