LOVING GOD

To me, loving God entails a process of acknowledging him as our creator. If we don't know him to be our creator, and we believe him to be the cause of most of our pain and problems, then it is difficult to understand why we should love him. We may claim to love him so that the world will view us kindly, but deep in our hearts we will harbor resentment and anger.

When we know him to be our creator, we can begin to understand the msgnificence of his nature, the power it took to create the world in seven days, and the depth of love necessary to create our functioning bodies. We also come to understand that we cannot help but love a God whose love is so unconditional and so unfathomable, and whose presence in our hearts is so profound.
