GETHSEMANE'S CHILDREN

The children of Gethsemane are eternity's children. Gethsemane's children know that the Lord God Jesus of Nazareth is the Lord and King of the earth. They understand the distinction between the Father in heaven, the Holy Spirit, and Jesus. They also understand that Jesus is King of the earth, that the Father in heaven is the Father of the universe, and that the Holy Spirit is our rear guard. He protects us, he cleanses and sanctifies us, he renews our youth, he enables us to do the works of God, and he regenerates us to prepare us for eternity. He is our front guard, our side guard, our heart guard, our face guard, and our body guard. 

It is the Holy Spirit who intervenes for us when we engage in actions that violate God's commands. It also is the Holy Spirit who expects us to confess our sins that we may be healed. He keeps us cleansed so that the power of God can flow through us, unhindered. When eternity's children are finally at home, he will be at home with them, having completed the job of reuniting them with their creator. He also will continue his job so as to keep them united for all eternity. He will be their rear guard, their side guard, their front guard and their body guard. They no longer will need a heart guard because their hearts no longer will be tempted to sin. They no longer will need a face guard because their faces will never be covered in shame. They will be whole. They will be one with God. They will be eternal.
