There is a tremendous amount of discussion about the place of brown skinned people in American society. The question presents a non sequitur. The issue is not whether Black lives are of any significance in modern American society, but rather, whether American society is of any significance, if every member of the society fails to fulfill their fullest potential.
The United States of America is a society of White, Black, and Brown immigrants, whether or not everyone chooses to see themselves as an immigrant, either currently, or through their ancestors. The society cannot survive and reach its fullest potential unless each member of the society is afforded the opportunity to reach their fullest potential. The country many have survived for a long time, while denigrating entire segments of the society. The current state of affairs proves that survival is now in question. The Lord God Almighty knows that survival is impossible unless change is imminent.
