Today, I had the honor of hearing a very profound biblical message that was based on Caleb's exploits in Numbers 13 and 14 when he was sent by Moses to examine the land promised by God, and to report back to the people of Israel. Of all the men sent by Moses, Caleb was the only one who had a positive report, who was faithful, and who trusted that despite appearances, God could give them the victory.
Is there any leader today who has the faith of Caleb? Is there anyone who says to himself and to his congregation, "We may look like grasshoppers, compared to them, we may not have directed energy weapons embedded in our cellphones, we may be watching many of our fellow leaders succumb to death, but if we have faith and trust God, we know that he can give us the victory. God's kingdom, his Promised Land, is here and now.
Are there any leaders who, with the members of their congregations, are willing to rise up and take back the land from Satan and his comrades? You can take back the jobs you have lost, the property that was foreclosed upon, the homes you lost, the health that was snatched away. God wants to give you victory in every area. The Calebs of the world are tired of waiting and wandering with you in the desert. Will you be left behind, or will you rise up? Are you Caleb?
