Every day, in every way, the kingdom of God forcefully advances. We may not understand the intricacies of that advancement, but we need only trust that the kingdom has advanced. When the kingdom advances, we advance.
Yesterday, the kingdom advanced when the Lord God Almighty determined that he no longer would tolerate the sins of those who refuse to obey, yet claim to have been chosen. If you have been chosen, and you have the desire to serve the kingdom of God, obedience is the first prerequisite.
There are many who believe that obedience means capitulation, but in God’s kingdom, obedience means living with exactitude. It means foregoing your limited perspective, and replacing it with perfection. It means being in the place where God calls you to be, instead of the place in which Satan desires to imprison you. Most importantly, it means being prepared for eternal life. The Lord God Almighty is a God who keeps his promises.
