A woman who is committed to working for the Lord is generally subject to much more hardship and persecution than a man with the same commitment. In the Catholic Church, for example, men who wish to commit their lives to God's service are immediately considered for positions as congregational leaders, while the women are sent to convents where they are taught to focus on doing work as community volunteers.
In other congregations, the same attitudes function to restrict women from taking the pulpit. The reasoning seems to be that because Jesus had twelve male apostles, church leadership should be restricted to men. The idea that the Lord God Almighty would relegate the exclusive leadership of his precious creation to "Adam" who caused the fall of man is incredulous and beyond comprehension. When Adam decided to take a bite of the forbidden apple, only then did both he and Eve lose the spiritual covering of the indwelling Holy Spirit of God. And only then was death introduced into the world. Prior to man's fall, there was no pain, no sickness, and no death. There was only bliss that emanated from their relationship with God. Eve also ate of the apple, but she did so only after being deceived by the serpent. Hers was not a willful disobedience, as was Adam's who had been directly instructed by God to avoid the apple tree. The one thousand years of Jesus' millennial reign will be unlike anything that the world has ever seen. Women will be in key leadership roles in every facet of the kingdom of God. The male energy has so dominated the world in the past several thousand years that the world has become gangrenous. It is similar to the condition that exists when one form of bacteria dominates all other forms and creates a state of imbalance. There will be male leaders throughout the millennial kingdom of God, but the principal leader must be a woman, whom Jesus will appoint. The world functions best when there is a natural ebb and flow of energy. Neither the male energy nor the female energy should ever become dominant. That God has appointed the man as the head of the household does not mean that he functions with exclusive authority. Nor does it mean that he is the appointed head over all aspects of humanity. When cultural norms predominate, different circumstances may apply, but they are relevant only to that culture. God will remedy any ills in due time. Working woman, reach for the stars.
