SUNDAY BEST

"Sunday Best" refers to the clothing we have set aside for special events on Sundays, perhaps a church service or other special occasion. We take very good care of our Sunday Best because we want to ensure that we look our best when wearing it. God expects that we will be wearing our spiritual Sunday Best when he returns. He wants to see auras that are ten feet wide (at least) and shining like the glitter of diamonds. He wants to see crowns of righteousness that are ten feet tall. Most importantly, he wants a church that is one unified body, having overcome their many differences to become the epitome of peace, joy and love.

When he returns, he wants to hear that there is no disciple of Jesus from any religious discipline who has a need that was left unmet, or who has failed to meet a need of which they became aware. He wants to know that the love of God permeates every facet of the body of Christ, and that everyone knows the true enemy. Finally, he wants to know that each person has fulfilled the mission and purpose for which they came to the earth.
