Sixteen is the age of majority in many countries, the age when one is expected to begin to take personal responsibility for one's actions. It also is the age when many children in foreign countries begin to attend college. The reason that age sixteen is so universally recognized as a breakpoint in physical development is that at sixteen, one is subject to a process in which the ether in the body is removed and replaced almost entirely. The childhood ether is removed and replaced with adult ether that transforms the thinking processes in the brain, and reorients the connections between various parts of the body. When this process takes place, the child experiences growth spurts and other seemingly abnormal behavioral aberrations. He or she will suddenly seem more assertive. The notion that someone other than them might be in control of their lives begins to seem revolting. The change in ether empowers them in a manner they had never experienced.
Spiritually, there is a similar coming of age breakpoint, but it occurs at different ages for different individuals. It is the point at which you come to realize that the devil has taken control of your life. You realize that all of the decisions you had been making were not genuine decisions but instead, you had been parroting the commands of the devil. You come to an acknowledgment of the fact that you are really not in genuine control, and that you had been living someone else's life. The coming of age process begins when you make the decision to break your connection with the devil, and begin to live God's way. God's way is the way of truth. God's way is the way that allows you the fullest expression of your humanity. It is the way that leads to the greatest joy, the greatest peace, and the greatest fulfillment. It is the way to eternal life. It is the way of eternal love.
