Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit of God is one of the least understood sins in the Bible. Many people believe that they have committed blasphemy when that is not the case, while others daily commit blasphemy, completely unaware that they are speaking or acting blasphemously. Blasphemy is a slander of the Holy Spirit either by words or by actions. For example, if a person claims to have the indwelling Holy Spirit of God, yet commits acts of indecency, rebellion against God, deception, or other sins, their activity can be considered blasphemous. Their actions may not make them immediately subject to spiritual death, however, repeated actions of this nature eventually will lead to spiritual death.
Actions that make a person immediately subject to spiritual death are deceptively refusing to acknowledge that the Holy Spirit of God did something, and/or imputing the good deed to Satan, or deceptively imputing Satan's evil deeds to the Holy Spirit. When blasphemous actions or words lead to spiritual death, the person does not face a judgment. Instead, they immediately enter Satan's employ upon passing. They never see the face of God, and never have an opportunity to experience life to the full.
