BENDING OVER BACKWARDS

The words "supreme" and "profound" denote qualities that are bigger and better than ordinary. They are words that we call into play when ordinary words cannot suffice to convey the most accurate meaning. They are words of depth and power.

When the Lord God Almighty identifies individuals who are worthy of accolades, he does so, not on the basis of ordinary performances of the bare minimum requirements, but rather, on the basis of whether or not they were willing to bend over backwards in order to accomplish a goal that served the interests of God's kingdom.

For whom and for what are you willing to extend yourself beyond the bare minimum? To what extent does the kingdom of God take priority in your daily encounters? To whom do you owe the greatest honor for being willing to serve your best interests? Who do you believe owes you the greatest honor for your willingness to serve their interests?

​When all has been said and done, who will you say made the greatest sacrifice to ensure that you reach the gates to eternity? Honor them, after first honoring God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Honor them in the way that you would want to be honored. Honor them above yourself.
